RE: Richard Land and Arrangements
Posted: 01-18-2008 |
I have received the following emails:
Sonya has decided not to have a formal funeral, Richard will be cremated and she is planning a memorial service in the near future, will let you know when the date has been set. No new information on the attacker yet either, they are still questioning neighbors, following the few leads they have, but nothing yet. Please specifically pray for an arrest in this case, in order for Sonya to have some closure. Thanks for all the prayers.
Cyndi
Hi Tommy, so far they haven't found out too much more about what happened, or at least, not releasing anything. Sonya is staying with Dot and LV. Horne, and please ask everyone to pray for the three of them as there is a lot of pressure there. They need strength, wisdom, and patience, and am sure they would appreciate the prayers. Prayer Requests

Prayer Requests
I have received a request for prayer for a serious relationship difficulty between a father (who attended SHEW #11) and his son. Without knowing any specifics and a request for anonymity please say a prayer for a resolution to this situation.
In addition, continue to be in prayer for Sonya Land. As you know from my previous email, Richard Land was shot and killed at his home by an intruder. Sonya will need all of the prayer support you can muster during this difficult time.

Prayer Request for Dave Sheppard
Posted: 01-03-2008 |
Tommy,
Dave Sheppard has been diagnosed with a blood clot in his leg. He is home while the clot is (hopefully) dissolved using blood thinners.
We would like to have him added to the prayer list to pray for his speedy recovery.
Any chance we can get that posted to the web site??

Hi, please add Marleigh Turner(one of my twin granddaughters) to your prayer lists, she had to be put in the hospital yesterday with a staph infection from a boo boo she had a couple of weeks ago, thay have had her on IV antibiotics and may let her go home this afternoon, she is responding really well. Just pray that the infection clears completely and doesn't come back. Thank you all and God bless you. Cyndi |
Update on Prayer Request emailed to community earlier this week
Posted: 12-29-2007 |
Hi everyone. received this update last night...
December 28th
Thank you. The babies are ok for now- they are each just over one pound and are about 12 inches in length. They are doing about as good as can be expected as of now but they are in their "honeymoon" period. The next 12 hours are crucial and then the next week. Baby D (to be named after my father David) squeezed my finger last night. The odds are still against us but we remain hopeful and are praying for them.
Thanks for for your prayers

Congratulations to our newest brothers and sisters who have completed their walks within the last three weeks. On September 23, we welcomed into the Community twenty-four new brothers and on October 7, we welcomed thirty new sisters in Christ. They now look forward to getting more involved in their local church and thereafter some will return to serve on future walks. God is good!
